Click on the drop box next to PLAN: and select the decision you want. After you have made your decision, click Refresh to move to the correct instruction tab. If you instruct PAY you still need to submit the instruction or you will not be invoiced, and the matter may not be paid by the due date or grace period deadline, thereby becoming abandoned at the patent office.
Check the box next to the matters you want to make the same instruction for, then click Bulk Change Selected, in the window – select the instruction you want to apply to all the matters selected, then click OK. Regardless of how you change instructions, any matters that have Abandon, Paid Elsewhere or Paid Elsewhere Always instructions will remain in their respective tabs until the Grace Period End Date. Once that date has passed, matters instructed Abandon will be made inactive in the portal. Matters with a Paid Elsewhere instruction will re-appear in the Renewal Center when it's next annuity is due under the Undecided tab. Matters with Paid Elsewhere Always instructions will re-appear in the Renewal Center when it's next annuity is due under the Paid Elsewhere tab.
