What type of IDS data does BHIP maintain?

BHIP provides two types of data updates for IDS data:

1. Updating the IDS lists for each matter

2. Tracking to make sure cited art was considered by the examiner, as described in more detail below:

Updating the IDS lists in each matter as new art is discovered/identified.  This includes:

1. Monitoring US docketing and updating the IDS list for each matter in accordance with PTO correspondence, including adding references to the IDS list that were cited bythe examiner in an office action.

2. Monitoring foreign prosecution (if BHIP is doing foreign docketing) and identifying references cited by foreign patent agencies and adding these references to theIDS list for the respective matter.

3. Receiving references from the Customer that the Customer wants added to the IDS reference list.

Updating the cited art in an IDS list to confirm it was considered by the examiner, from Form xxxxxx.  

This form is sent by the PTO and Black Hills uses it to update the IDS list in the IDS manager that the art was considered by the examiner.  Reports are available to the Customer to follow up when a reference was not considered.
