Notification Center

As a docketing client, you are able to generate complimentary custom alerts as the status of a patent changes at the US Patent and Trademark Office. These alerts can be set up to be sent to an email address, phone number as a text message, or both. To start, click on the "Add New Alert" button in the top right corner of the Notification Center

Creating a new Alert

1. On the Notification Center page you will click the Manage Alerts button to see all existing alerts

2. Next, you will click on Add New Alert to create a new custom alert.

3. After clicking Add New Alert you will be greeted with a new notification pop up. You will then need to enter an Alert Name and select what data source will trigger the notification: Application Number, Attorney File Number, Applicant, or Customer Number. You must select one of these four options. Next, you will decide whether or not you would like to receive a email alert, text alert, or both.

It's as simple as that. When status updates are made at the USPTO based on the criteria you set you will receive an email notification which will look like this:

The application [app number] has changed its status to [status notification that was requested]

Title: Really Cool Invention

Applicant: Joe Schmo

Inventor: Boop, Betty

Filing Date: 2023-01-01

Attorney Docket Number: 123.4567US1

Phone notifications will alert you when new updates are ready within the portal.

You can always see the history of previously sent notifications within the Notification Center. Updates to existing notifications can be made by clicking Manage Alerts. Enjoy!
